The 2024 Pearl Meat Cook Off: A Night of Culinary Excellence and Broome Community Spirit.

We are thrilled to announce the new Pearl Meat Cook Off Champion! 🏆 The team from Lady M dazzled the judges with their innovative and perfectly balanced pearl meat dish, featuring wagyu beef. Congratulations on your well-deserved first prize!

Our heartfelt congratulations also goes to Matsos for securing the runners-up prize and to Zookeepers for winning the prestigious People’s Choice Award. The competition was fierce, with each team presenting spectacular dishes that made the judges’ decisions incredibly tough.

We had a panel of discerning judges who applied their in depth knowledge and love of pearl meat to their decision making process. Included in the line up was Khanh Ong (headline celebrity chef for the Shinju Matsuri Festival), Lynne Bunney (president of the Shinju Matsuri Festival), Igor Rossi (head Chef for Spinifex Brewery) and Kat Dodds (Willie Creek Pearls Operations Manager).

This year’s event was made even more special thanks to our incredible partnership with Spinifex Brewing Company. Their stunning Cable Beach venue provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of culinary excellence and community celebration. We are immensely grateful for their support and collaboration, which were instrumental in making this event a resounding success.
