Willie Creek Pearls Unveils 'The Untamed Collection'

We are delighted to announce the launch of 'The Untamed Collection,' a stunning new addition to our exquisite range of Australian South Sea Pearl jewellery. This collection is a true testament to the exceptional skill and creativity of our head jeweller, William Grierson, who has been with the company since 2012. Grierson, along with his talented team, has masterfully crafted each piece using a unique process of pouring molten gold into water, resulting in breathtaking, one-of-a-kind settings that beautifully showcase the lustrous beauty of our pearls. 

"I think people will really like this collection because each piece is totally unique. They're going to be able to take something home that no one else will have. We've matched a unique pearl with a unique mount to create a truly captivating collection of jewellery," says Grierson. 

Inspired by the rugged beauty of the Kimberley region and the wild, untamed nature of Broome, this collection captures the essence of Australia's pristine landscapes. 

Grierson and his team created the organically shaped gold forms through the process of pouring molten gold into a water bath from a considerable height. When the gold collides with the water, it quickly solidifies, creating forms that perfectly envelop our Australian South Sea pearls. The collection is a testament to the fascinating fusion of fluid dynamics, nature, and art. 

Laurie Lord, General Manager of Retail Operations, explains, “The bespoke pieces of the Untamed Collection will appeal to those customers who are looking for something a bit different and personal. As each piece is unique, this exclusive range will excite lovers of pearls who desire a statement piece that is distinct from the traditional and mainstream options.”

We wanted to highlight the true artistic and technical talent of our jewellers and demonstrate exactly what makes each piece of this collection completely unique.” 

The launch of the campaign was celebrated in our Cottesloe showroom over two evenings, spent with some of our Perth-based Pearl Lovers. With delicious canapés served by Sals Pasta Deli, drinks from Calneggia Wines, and a captivating live harp performance, it truly was a night to remember. Guests were treated to a live gold pouring demonstration, showcasing the brilliant artistry, patience, and technique behind the creation of the organically shaped gold forms.
