Ring Size Guide

Ring sizes are measured by the internal diameter of the ring in millimetres. You can use one of the following three methods to determine your size. A size guide is included below to help you match your measurement to the correct ring size letter.

OPTION 1 - Use String

  1. Use a piece of string or dental floss and wrap it around the base of your finger, or measure the internal diameter of a ring you own and find the closest measurement in the chart below.
  2. If you are using a string to measure your finger, use a pen to mark the point on the string where the end meets.
  3. Use a millimeter ruler to measure the string.
  4. Choose the closest ring circumference measurement from the chart below to find your ring size.

OPTION 2 - Measure the Internal Diameter

  1. Select a ring that fits the finger you plan to wear the new ring on.
Place the ring on a flat surface to keep it steady.
  2. Use a ruler or caliper with millimetre markings to measure the internal diameter of the ring. Measure straight across the centre from one inner edge to the other.
  3. Note down the diameter in millimetres.
  4. Match your measurement to the ring size chart to find the closest corresponding size.

OPTION 3 - Measure a Ring That Fits You

  1. If the other two options don't work for you, we have a third included in our downloadable Jewellery Size Guide below.
  2. Ensure the page is either printed off or viewed at 100% zoom. If you’re unsure, align a $1 or 20c coin with the reference guides provided. If the coin matches the size shown, the document is correctly scaled.
  3. Take a ring that already fits you well.
Place the ring over the sizing circles shown below.
  4. Find the circle where the orange outline completely fills the inside of your ring. The correct size is the one where the orange touches the inner edge of the ring all the way around without overlapping.

Use String

  1. Wrap a flexible measuring tape, strip of paper, or string around your wrist—just below the wrist bone, where you’d
    normally wear a bracelet.
  2. Mark the point where the end meets the rest of the paper or string.
  3. Lay it flat and measure the length using a ruler (in centimetres or millimetres).

Use the measurement to choose your fit style:

  • Snug Fit: Add 1-1.5 cm to your wrist measurement
  • Comfort Fit (standard): Add 1.5-2 cm
  • Loose Fit: Add 2.5 cm or more for a relaxed, draped feel
